A new edition of Biocultura was held in Madrid on 9-12 November. The Organic Food Biocultura en Madrid has just closed with great success for its exhibitors and over 70,000 visitor people. Organic food products are the largest sector of the fair, accompanied by other sectors such as products for hygiene and cosmetics with certified ingredients, furniture, decoration or rural tourism. Cortijo el Puerto has been broadcasted by the program “Hazte eco” (Echo) . In this short video you can watch a very interesting panorama of what we have seen and done there. Our counselor Mari Paz de la Torre Liébana has summarized in the first minutes of this video, some notes of our organic and meta-ecological philosophy at Cortijo el Puerto, the hotels for insects as strategic accommodation in the biological control against the plagues of olive and almond trees. “Each plague has its predator.” This initiative also promotes biodiversity by introducing or enhancing ‘beneficial’ insect species that help maintain the balance.
On the other hand, Julián Camargo, our Sales and Community Manager was broadcasted by laecológica. here you can find a brief story of our farm from its beginning, highlighting the commitment to ecology and quality. In Biocultura we have met many professionals and assistants who share our passion for a global ecological project, in which the whole process is pampered in favour of the land, flora, fauna and human beings in order to conserve and improve our planet and ecosystems, protect biodiversity and also create healthy and highly nutritious products with the great taste of nature.
