The prestigious “International Olive Oil Competition Athena” (ATHIOOC) is an international olive oil contest held every year in Greece (this edition 2019 in Nafplion, Argolis). ATHIOOC is the fastest growing international olive oil competition in the world and has already gained the respect of hundreds of olive oil producers and international judges. We are very, very happy. This confirms again that our Organic project and 100% organic EVOO are both competitive and of the highest quality. Cortijo el Puerto’s commitment to biodiversity and ecology encompasses both flora and fauna, therefore we are organic certified in both Agriculture and Livestock.
To produce any livestock product with the rating of ecological, organic or biological in Europe is necessary to be certified under European Standard -Reg (EC) 834/2007) and Reg (EC) 889/2008.

Our almond crops in hedgerow system have been issued the organic certification, granted by the CAAE (Andalusian Committee of Ecological Agriculture). Cortijo el Puerto Mini Granja collection consists of a set of 4 bottles in gray and opaque glass of 250 ml with pink stopper and boxed in an attractive gift box easy to transport and ideal for special occasions.
This set of four different EVOO varieties of superior category allows us to pair each plate with its ideal variety in order to appreciate nuances, aromas, flavours and organoleptic sensations of these different monovarietals.
In addition these bottles are labeled in Braille and use greaseproof paper.
In order to preserve the EVOO we recommend storing them in a cool dark place and away from the light and heat. This will ensure its properties for up to two years.
Our Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oils are harvested at night avoiding artificial cooling methods, so the whole process is natural and sustainable.

“Manzanilla Cacereña”, is the new organic EVOO variety in the Granja Collection.
Cortijo el Puerto is 100% organic farming and Manzanilla Cacereña is cultivated promoting soil quality and agricultural sustainability adding a special value to this excellent and complex oil. This season is fruity green olives, with herbaceous notes like freshly cut grass, cinnamon, floral and fennel. In the mouth it is sweet, not bitter and little spicy, suggests fruits and background with hazelnuts, a very balanced oil. Ready to taste and discover!
The Chiquitita-Sikitita variety, R&D and a delicious taste that can be savored in the Organic EVOO Cortijo el Puerto
‘Sikitita’ or Chiquitita is the first variety of olive tree selected for its use in hedgerow system and is the result of research for genetic improvement of olive trees led by Diego Barranco and Luis Rallo (A joint development by the University of Córdoba and the Andalusia Research Institute for Agriculture and Fisheries – IFAPA). The ecological EVOO Chiquitita of Cortijo el Puerto for this season is fruity, of green olives with mature notes of medium intensity, with a cinnamon and fennel background, balancing on the palate with sweet light bitterness and a medium pungency and a nice background of nuts.
According to the recently released EVOO World Ranking the Spanish and Organic Company IngeOliva (Cortijo el Puerto) appears in first place as the most awarded company in Spain and the world in 2017. Cortijo el Puerto Organic EVOO becomes a pioneer and warmly welcomes the introduction of Braille and the use of tactile marks on the information packaging for people with special needs
Cortijo el Puerto, is the first company to implement the use of the new QR code localization system in the food industry, supported by with the advice of ONCE through The Spanish Braille Commission (CBE, from its Spanish initials). In addition, in our continuous commitment to innovation and accessibility we have extended Braille labeling to 100 ml, 250 ml, 500 ml bottles and in the cases of the Nano, Micro and Mini Granja collections. The QR code, with its corresponding identification tactile mark, is located in the lower right part of the label.
We increasingly seek social inclusion and accessibility to information about our Extra Virgin Olive Oil for people with visual disabilities and show that barriers can be reduced with actions like these.
