On November 27 we had the pleasure of receiving on our farm the visit of the Agricultural Attaché at American Embassy in Spain, Rachel Bickford, who was accompanied by the mayor of Lora del Rio, Antonio Enamorado Aguilar, and the local development officer, Maria Luisa Cava.
They were was able to meet our ecosystem and showed interest in the cultivation of the olive grove and the organic almond, later we had a tasting session where they tried our #AOVE.
Mrs. Bickford knows well the rural environment, she hails from Massachusetts where she was born and raised on her family’s sheep farm. She spent her youth working at a local vegetable and fruit farm that has been in operation for five generations. She is highly skilled and experienced with former positions from Chile to South Africa.
The organic and precision agriculture that we practice in Cortijo el Puerto also has a purpose of broadcasting our project of improvement and commitment to the environment, we want to share our good environmental practices and show that quality and ecology are a perfect match.
